2019 Obervolkach Landsknecht trocken "Pinot Noir", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Somewhat herbal, almondy, slightly ethereal and hinted at mushroomy scent of predominantly black berries and a little cherry with a hint of long pepper and leather. Quite polished, juicy fruit with a slight acid bite and a hint of carbonic acid, some smoky and nutty wood aromas as well as nuances reminiscent of mint, still youthful, sandy tannin, noticeable minerality, currants in the background, a certain freshness, a hint of bitter chocolate, lots of grip in the very good finish.
