Firm and quite deep, almost cool, somewhat herbal-vegetable nose with bright yellow fruity aromas, hints of crustaceans and a touch of tarragon. Dense, juicy, largely dry fruit, lively, fine acidity and grip of ripe tannin, herbal aromas again reminiscent of tarragon on the palate, persistent, good depth, distinct minerality, citrus peel and a hint of roasted nuts in the background, very good, tight, grippy, juicy, slightly smoky finish, again with aromas of partly roasted, rather fat nuts.

Best to drink: 2024-2030+. What our ratings mean
