2015 Vulkanland Steiermark Ried Klausen Weißburgunder Reserve trocken STK Erste Lage, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Firm, fairly deep nose, still yeasty, promine nt vegetal notes, restrained yellow fruit, mineral notes, hint of bacon, touch of nutty vanilla oak, floral traces. Ripe, vreamy, firm fruit on the palate, still slightly yeasty, vegetal, peppery, herbaceous and light nutty notes, elegant acidity, full body, good substance, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, fairly prominent, fairly well integrated sandy tannins, bay leaf in the background, floral aromas and a hint of dark berries, noticeable, but fairly well integrated alcohol, waxy and floral traces, vanilla, hint of licorice, surprisingly clear contours on a very good finish. Needs time to mature.
