2009 Vulkanland Steiermark Ried Moarfeitl Sauvignon Blanc trocken STK Große Lage, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Deep, clearly green-vegetable nose with very fine white and yellow fruity aromas, floral traces, hints of black berries and a touch of passion fruit. Ripe, juicy, dense fruit, vegetal and slightly peppery tones, also some chilli pepper spiciness, persistent on the palate, good depth, nutty and herbal tones, slightly smoky minerality, dark berries in the background, a hint of butter, floral hints, complex spiciness, has power but also cooling elements, almost sweetish melting, very good, dense, juicy and spicy finish. In amazing condition.

Editor note: Deep nutty nose, spicy oak, ripe, partly preserved and candied yellow fruit, vegetal notes, hint of caramel and mineral notes. Concentrated, full-bodied and juicy on the palate, ripe creamy fruit, prominent candied nuts and oak, some caramel and nougat, elegant, fairly lively acidity, excellent substance, tremendous presistence, intense mineral notes, still very young and compact, very deep and complex, firm structure, long finish. Continues to evolve for several days.
