2021 Godramstein Münzberg Spätburgunder VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken "Schlangenpfiff", Pfalz, Germany

Fester, somewhat tobacco-woody scent of ripe red and black berries with earthy nuances, forest mushrooms, hinted marjoram, and a trace of underbrush. Ripe, bitter-juicy fruit with cold smoke, some tobacco and tobacco ash, herbal nuances, chalky-salty minerality, dusty-sandy, moderately drying tannins, persistent on the palate, quite firm structure, certain depth, ashy nuances, a hint of root vegetables, very good, firm, bitter finish with juice and bite.
