2021 Thüngersheim Rothlauf Silvaner Grosses Gewächs, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Deep and complex, delicately smoky, finely vegetal to herbaceous and hints of nuttiness with noble, restrained yellow fruity aromas, tobacco and peppery nuances and clear, stony minerality. Very tightly knit, juicy, tart fruit, fine, lively acidity and lots of grip, smoky and a little nutty tones, a hint of dark berries, persistent, hints of tobacco, deep and complex on the palate, has power and melt despite the moderate alcohol, still undeveloped, peppery tones, also a little sage, very good, tangy, grippy and intensely stony-mineral finish with herbal notes. Closes up with air at first and must mature.
