2018 Retzbach Benediktusberg Spätburgunder VDP.Erste Lage trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Clear, firm and rather deep aroma of ripe red and some black berries with slightly dried mushroom and earthy notes. Firmly woven, juicy, ripe, rather tart fruit, quite present, slightly chocolaty wood spice, quite present, fine, youthful tannin, persistent, a little smoky, fine vegetal and mushroomy hints, herbal notes, bacon and salt in the background, very good, tangy, still slightly drying finish. Must definitely mature
