The winery is located in the municipality of Brauneberg (Bernkastel area) in the German Moselle wine region. The winegrowing tradition of the Conrad family goes back over 14 generations to the year 1558. Martin Conrad, whose grandfather was once one of the founders of the Bernkasteler Ring, has been responsible for the cultivation and development of the wines since 1998. Mother Hilde takes care of the country idyll hotel and restaurant, the "Brauneberger Hof", which she has been running since 1991. The vineyards cover 5.5 hectares of vineyards in the sites Juffer and Juffer Sonnenuhr (Brauneberg), Sonnenlay (Mülheim), as well as Kirchberg (Veldenz). They are 95% Riesling, the small rest Pinot Blanc. In the vineyard we work according to the conditions of . No pure yeasts or enzymes are used for fermentation, but natural yeast strains. In this way the terroir character is more finely worked out and the individuality is emphasized.
The wines are produced in three lines. The single-variety vintage wines without indication of location are intended for young enjoyment. The second group includes wines from low yields from the above-mentioned slate steep slopes of the highest quality. The best dry and fine-tangy (formerly semi-dry) site wines, as well as the noble sweet top wines such as Auslese, Beerenauslese, Trockenbeerenauslese and Eiswein are produced under the designation Goldkapsel (golden bottle capsule). The winery offers so-called vine sponsorships, which are valid for two vines each. The vines are labelled with the names of the vine sponsors and the sponsorship is documented with a certificate. The sponsors receive two bottles of sponsored wine each year with their own name on the bottle label. Bottle-fermented sparkling wine, distillates (yeast brandy, brandy), drinking vinegars, liqueurs and grape juice are also produced.
