2013 Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT Castel Campan, Alto Adige, Italy

Clear nose, ripe, partly preserved red and black berries, some cherries, nutty and herbaceous traces, slightly burnt nutty oak. Ripe, juicy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, nutty, spicy oak, touch of chocolate, some sugar candy and caramel, fine sandy tannins, generally well integrated, persistent and full-bodied, very slightly meaty, has some depth, herbaceous traces, salty notes in the background, firm sturcture, still young, hint of bacon, very good long finish.
