2009 Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT Cassiano, Alto Adige, Italy

Cool, tart nose, nutty, spicy oak, light vegetal notes, preserved cherries, black berries and some red berries, peppery notes and some bell peppers, touch of tobacco, earthy and mineral notes in the background. Concentrated and juicy on the palate, very complex, polished fruit, elegant, tart, slightly nutty and spicy oak, peppery spice, very persistent, still youthful and undeveloped, delicate acid bite, fairly prominent fine tanins, prominent herbaceous notes, toasted notes and chocolate in the background, very unostentatious overall in spite of its full body and complexity, very good, long finish. Great stuff.
