2019 Carnuntum trocken Cuvée Lukas, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Slightly fleshy-animalic and a little dried-vegetable to tobacco nose of predominantly black berries and partly preserved cherries with dried-tomato hints, some smoke, milk chocolate, hints of pepper and leather. Firmly woven, ripe, yet surprisingly fresh and juicy fruit for a wine of this weight class, very fine, crumbly, youthful tannin, ethereal-herbal nuances, dried tomatoes and a little bitter chocolate, persistent, plenty of power and noticeable but integrated alcohol, a little smooth style, minty-ethereal hints, partly preserved dark fruit and again bitter chocolate in the very good finish.
