2013 Carnuntum Ried Schüttenberg Merlot trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Light dried vegetal and herbaceous notes on the nose, delicate floral notes, partly preserved mixed mulberries and some cherries, delicate spicy and nutty aromas. Ripe, juicy, fairly polished fruit on the palate, partly preserved, moderate nutty, spicy oak, delicate hint of chocolate, integrated fine sandy tannins, very creamy, full-bodied, noticeable warm alcohol, persistent, herbaceous and light salty notes in the background, slightly polished, surprisingly lively acidity, hint of tobacco, meaty and smoky notes, very good finish, again alcoholic.
