2009 Carnuntum Ried Eisenbach Zweigelt trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Dark berries and a hint of plums on the nose,vegetal notes, earthy notes and a hint of tar, light roasted notes. Slightly fleshy and delicately juicy on the palate, compact, polished, partly preserved berry fruit, some dark cherries, light herbaceous notes, elegant bitter and mineral components, integrated mature tannins, has backbone and contours, quite a bit of substance, persistent, very good finish.
