2006 Carnuntum Göttlesbrunn trocken Cuvée Lukas, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Slightly jammy nose, preserved mixed berries and cherries, some herbaceous notes and bread, sweetish spicy oak. Prominent oak on the palate, austere and astringent, some chocolate, behind that compact dark fruit, slightly monolithic, astringent oak tannins, firm structure, fairly persistent, has some depth, mineral notes, but lacking in some finer details, very full-bodied, the roasted oak and chocolate again dominate the jammy fruit on the finish.
