Red and some black berries on the nose, cherries, prominent herbs and spices, light earthy and mineral notes, touch of old oak. Fairly juicy ripe fruit on the palate, smoky and roasted notes, some dark chocolate and herbaceous notes, delicate acid bite, quite fine tannins, full-bodied and persistent, some more mineral notes, has some depth, juicy with roasted notes on a very good finish.

Best to drink: Bis 2013. What our ratings mean

Editor note: Quite a firm nose with blackcurrants and cranberries, some cherries, herbaceous notes and some spicy old oak. Cool, clear and fairly prominent red berry fruit with some slightly tart cranberries, noticeable mineral notes, still fairly fresh, has persistence and substance, prominent oak, medium-fine tannins, very good finish with prominent mineral notes, slightly astringent, needs time.
