2005 Carnuntum Blaufränkisch trocken Rosenberg, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Fairly mature nose, cherries with a hint of cranberries, slightly nutty with delicate earthy notes. Harmonious with red berry fruit and crisp cherries, but also quite soft at the same time, with aeration slightly astringent tannins develop as well as a hint of tart berries, develops contours and gains presence, moderate, already quite well integrated oak, has some substance, slightly closed, shows additional nuances on a good finish.

Best to drink: 2009-2012+. What our ratings mean
