2018 Sauvignon Blanc trocken "Fumé", Rheinhessen, Germany

Tart, restrained nose, light nutty oak, yellow fruit aromas, floral notes, earthy and mineral notes. Bone dry, fairly tranquil, slightly creamy fruit on the palate, very elegant acidity, nutty notes, hint of mushrooms, good substance and persistence, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, mineral notes in the background, touch of butter caramel, vegetal and earthy notes on a good to very good, warm and cremy finish. Much better than the first sample, which was apparently faulty.
