2017 Pinot Noir trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Fairly firm nose, red and a few black berries, light cedary wood, hint of tobacco. Clear, fairly cool, fairly polished fruit on the palate, fine youthful tannins, slightly smoky cedary notes, hint of tobacco, touch of black olives, good persistence, chalky and salty notes in the background, touch of dried herbs, good to very good, tart, slightly smoky and spicy finish.
