2015 Ried Altenberg Zweigelt trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Hint of bacon, light dried vegetal notes on the nose, black and a few red berries, light earthy notes, hint of mushrooms, licorice and peppery traces. Tart fruit on the palate, lightly toasted, smoky oak, earthy, nutty and dried floral notes, persistent and quite full-bodie, hint of bacon, peppery traces, some depth, fairly dark fruit as well as earthy notes and smoky oak on a very good, fairly firm finish.

Editor note: Fairly deep nose, black berriees and cherries, herbaceous traces, hint of licorice, floral traces, light oak, mineral notes. Ripe, firm, fairly polished, juicy, predominantly dark fruit on the palate, light spicy oak and some cocoa, youthful, very fine tannins, persistent, quite full-bodied, cool ethereal notes, some depth, creamy, elegant bite, salty mineral notes, peppery traces, spicy oak and cocoa on a very good finish, ripe and juicy.
