2021 Eisenberg DAC Blaufränkisch Reserve trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Smoky and slightly fatty aroma of ripe black berries with fine root vegetable notes, sharply seared beef, and pepper. Firmly structured, youthful, herbaceous juicy dark fruit, a bit of smoke and bittersweet chocolate on the palate, herbs, pepper, and a hint of bacon, sustainable, present, yet ripe and rather soft tannins, a bit of bite, has power, but also cooling etheric notes, good depth, still little developed, chalky nuances, very good, firm, juicy, and spicy finish with fresh herbal nuances.
