2018 Blaufränkisch trocken "Perwolff", Burgenland, Austria

Clear, firm, deep and polished aroma of black berries, pomegranate and a hint of watermelon with peppery-spicy and very slightly tobacco aromas, a little elderberry, hints of dark chocolate as well as nutty and poppy aromas. Tight, juicy and tart in the mouth, very dark fruit with slightly smoky and hints of toasty wood, some peppery spice and dry herbs, persistent on the palate, present, ripe tannin and some bite, still young and hardly developed, good depth, clear minerality, juniper traces, very good, tight, increasingly juicy finish. Definitely needs to mature
