2015 Spätburgunder trocken Devonschiefer R, Reserve, Versteigerungswein, Ahr, Germany

Deep, concentrated nose, still closed, ripe, partly preserved red berries, light oak and some furniture polish, macadamia and pecan nuts, hint of tobacco, floral and earthy notes, dried herbs, watermelon, mineral notes develop with extensive aeration. Tart and still slightly muted fruit on the palate, predominantly raspberries, darker notes develop with aeraton, very concentrated with citrus and melon aromas, prominent smoky oak, vegetal, earthy and intense mineral notes, cedary traces, some tobacco, full-bodied, has substance, currently still slightly austere, improves with aeration over several days, long, concentrated, deep, tart and complex finish with clear contours.
