2014 Spätburgunder trocken Devonschiefer, Ahr, Germany

Tart nose, some oak and tobacco, earthy and light dried floral notes, spicy peppery notes and some cardamom, red and black berries. Cool and again quite tart on the palate, still slightly muted, fairly dark fruit, earthy and smoky notes, some tobacco, light peppery races in the background, fine sandy tannins, still slightly astringent, meaty and animal traces, floral traces, light grip, some depth, still largely undeveloped, very good cool, elegant, juicy, salty finish.
