2013 Spätburgunder trocken Devonschiefer R, Reserve, Versteigerungswein, Ahr, Germany

Cool, deep and fairly firm nose, preserved red berries and cherries with moderate, quite noble spicy oak, some smoke, herbaceous traces and prominent mineral notes. Deep, cool and very polished, extremely juicy, ripe fruit in the mouth, dried tomatoes and black olives, very fine, mature tannins and delicate acid bite, creamy and slightly warm on the palate, persistent on the palate, hint of spicy tobacco, in the background a lot of salty mineral notes, very harmonious, very good long finish with beguiling juice and restrained, very slightly sweetish wood aromas.
