Editor note: Slightly developed, undergrowthy scent of more red than black berries with noticeable laurel, some tobacco and mushrooms. Relatively tart, juicy, fruit reminiscent of sloes with a certain acid bite and fine sandy, relatively pithy tannins, vegetable, earthy and mushroom tones on the palate, clear, salty minerality, persistent, certain depth, quite firm structure, minty traces, again also laurel, very good, tart and juicy finish

The production area, named after a tributary of the Rhine, is located in the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany.
