2007 Frühburgunder trocken Goldkapsel, Ahr, Germany

Quite a deep nose, ripe red berries, hint of tobacco, some light cherries, vegetal and prominent mineral notes, light earthy notes and some light smoky oak. Ripe, sweetish creamy fruit on the palate, some smoky oak, very fine tannins, only very slightly dusty, earthy notes, again some tobacco and prominent mineral notes, good persistence, malted notes, medium depth, sweetish juicy notes and smoky tobacco on a very good finish.
