2005 Ahrweiler Silberberg Spätburgunder trocken Großes Gewächs, Versteigerungswein, Ahr, Germany

Lively nose, red berries with delicate earthy notes, herbs and spices, mineral notes. Lively again on the palate with prominent red berry fruit, elegant acidity, herbaceous notes, some old oak, earthy notes, fine sandy tanniuns, mineral notes, quite a firm structure, good persistence with some depth, appears quite youthful, good long finish.
