2001 Neuenahr Sonnenberg Frühburgunder trocken, Ahr, Germany

Intense nose, sweet cherries, forest berries and some cassis, harmonious spicy oak. Conventrated, juicy fruit, fairly prominent tannins, still sightly dusty, full-bodied, very traditional style, mineral notes in the background, noticeable alcohol, firm structure, long finish. Needs time to mature.
