2019 Gutedel Landwein "Johann Jakob", Baden, Germany

Quite firm and deep, somewhat floral, nutty, yeasty and hints of bacon aroma of ripe yellow fruits with a hint of black berries and nuances reminiscent of light tobacco and chalk. Polished, still slightly yeasty, tightly knit citrus fruit with herbal and somewhat light woody aromas, present, yet very fine acidity, light tannin grip and persistence, hints of juniper, pepper and star anise, a hint of white chocolate, clearly light minerality, very good, animating and at the same time grippy finish.
