2018 Varnhalt Klosterbergfelsen Felsenstück Spätburgunder trocken "Sommerhalde", Baden, Germany

Polished nose of predominantly red berries and a little pickled light cherries with fine floral and herbal nuances. Pure-toned, juicy, polished, fresh-looking fruit with ethereal-herbal and floral nuances, some bite and fine, youthful, ripe tannins, somewhat herbal on the palate, delicate spiciness, persistent, has power but remains rather cool, light mineral tones in the background, a hint of juniper, very good, firm, juicy finish.
