2009 Ried Steinzeiler trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Firm and deep, somewhat warm aroma of ripe, partly dried black berries with dried vegetable to tobacco aromas, some dried paprika, cherries and cedar and earthy tones. Ripe, firm, tart dark fruit with slightly sooty wood aromas, very present tannins as well as tobacco, earthy and a little peppery notes, dense and persistent on the palate, lots of power, noticeable alcohol, but cooling minty tones, quite clear minerality, coffee spice in the background, very good, firm, very slightly drying finish
