2007 Ried Setz trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Tart black berries and some sour cherries on the nose, dried herbs and peppery notes, earthy and mineral notes, light vegetal notes, smoky. Firm and quite cool on the palate, elegant and juicy, delicately tart fruit, smoky and roasted oak, earthy in the background, dried vegetal notes, fine sandy tannins, good persistence, still young, noticeably smoky on a good to very good finish.

Best to drink: 2011-2018+. What our ratings mean
