2006 Chardonnay süß, Burgenland, Austria

Sweet honeyed notes on the nose, partly candied and partly preserved pomaceous fruit, quinces, fairly concentrated nose with spicy vegetal notes, touch of caramel with the oak. Very sweet fruit on the palate, partly candied and partly dried yellow fruit, more vegetal notes, smoky nutty notes, caramel, prominent toasted notes, shows some development, elegant acidity, good persistence, slightly astringent on a good finish.
