2018 Südsteiermark DAC Ried Stermetzberg Grauburgunder trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Light golden yellow. Cool, firm and deep, somewhat dried-herbal and nutty aroma of ripe yellow fruits with a hint of laurel, slightly smoky wood and nuances reminiscent of light tobacco. Dry and firm fruit, partly dried and candied, with nutty-woody aromas, a hint of juniper and nuances reminiscent of cloves, fine, lively acidity, noticeable grip of ripe tannin, good persistence, pepper and lemon verbena in the background, salty and chalky minerality, very good finish with grip
