The traditional winery is located in the municipality of Leibnitz (Seggauberg) in the Austrian wine-growing region of Southern Styria. It has been in family ownership for more than 300 years. Since 1993 the business has been managed by Christa and Nikolaus Kodolitsch. Mario Weber, a wine and cellar master trained at the Silberberg viticulture school, is responsible for the viticulture. Twice a year, the winery organizes art and craft events as well as gourmet evenings three to four times a year with a chef and wine accompaniment by winemaker Nikolaus Kodolitsch and wine master Mario Weber.
The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in the areas Am Kogelberg and Rosengarten. They are planted with the white wine varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Gelber Muskateller, Chardonnay,Pinot Blanc and , as well as the red wine variety Blauer Wildbacher. The environmentally friendly, near-natural cultivation is carried out according to the guidelines of the KIP (Controlled Integrated Production). In order to increase quality, the quantity of grapes is reduced by appropriate pruning.
The white wines are marketed in the Classic Wines and Vintage Wines lines. Depending on the type of wine, they are aged in stainless steel tanks or in . The premium wines of the house are Sauvignon Blanc Rosengarten Reserve and Chardonnay Kogelberg Reserve. In years suitable for the weather, Trockenbeerenauslesen are also pressed. Bottle-fermented sparkling wine is also produced.
