Dark, clear and quite polished, somewhat toasty, nutty, vegetal to dried herbal scent of blackberries and a little cherry with slightly peppery, juniper and leathery hints. Polished, tightly knit, tangy fruit with a noticeable acid bite, present, yet quite fine tannin, nutty wood tones in the background, dense and persistent, certain depth, hints of citrus and mint, a touch of star anise, juniper, salty minerality in the very good, taut, tangy and slightly smoky finish. Deserves one more point if it can put away the slightly drying tannin.
