The winery is located in the municipality of Heitersheim (Markgräflerland area) in the German growing region of Baden. In the family, viticulture is already practiced in the fifth generation. After studying enology in Geisenheim, Klaus-Martin Marget founded a small sparkling wine cellar in 1989 and took over a winery in 1996. The vineyards cover about seven hectares of vineyards in the single vineyards Schlossgarten (Hügelheim) and Maltesergarten (Heitersheim). They are planted with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Merlot, Regent and Cabernet Dorsa, as well as with the white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Chasselas and Nobling. The vineyards are cultivated in a natural way with cover crop by sowing grasses, rape, clover and mallow. Quality-enhancing measures include careful foliage management and yield reduction through thinning

Great importance is attached to physiologically ripe and healthy grapes. After the hand harvest in up to three passes, a gentle pressing takes place. Further processing takes place without mechanical stress as far as possible. After controlled fermentation, the white wines are mainly matured in steel tanks with long storage on the fine lees. The red wines are matured in large wooden barrels or in new barriques, depending on the type of wine, after traditional maceration. The rosé wines are made from Pinot Noir. Premium wines include Merlot, the red wine cuvée Veritas and Sauvignon Blanc. Bottle-fermented sparkling wine is also produced
