Firm, very slightly ethereal aroma of partly preserved ripe dark berries and cherries with dried herb notes, some bacon, dried flowers and pepper. Ripe, warm, somewhat compote fruit, lots of bitterly toasty wood with coffee and cocoa notes, present, crumbly, sandy tannin, persistent on the palate, spicy, nutty and a touch sooty, lots of alcohol, rather rustic type, very good, if somewhat drying finish.

Editor note: Firm nose, spicy new oak, ripe, partly preserved dark berries and cherries, dried floral and elegant spicy notes, mineral traces. Ripe, fairlyfirm, juicy fruit on the palate, tart toasted oak and a hint of coffee, fine sandy tannins, delicate acid bite, good substance and persistence, mineral traces in the background, prominenmt nutty notes, noticeable warm alcohol, sooty, spicy oak on a very good, firm, juicy finish.
