The winery is located in the municipality of Uelversheim (Nierstein area) in the German wine growing region of Rheinhessen
. The Kissinger family has been growing wine here for more than a hundred years, the business is managed by Jürgen Kissinger. In the year 2000 the newly built estate building outside of Uelversheim was moved into. The vineyards comprise 12 hectares of vineyards in the individual locations Kreuz
, Schloss und Tafelstein
(Oppenheim), as well as Himmeltal (Guntersblum). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Silvaner, Chardonnay, Kerner, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe and Gewürztraminer, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Portugieser, Dornfelder and Frühburgunder. Wine-growing is consistently carried out in a near-natural, environmentally friendly manner. The wines are mostly aged dry in small wooden barrels. Sparkling wines are also produced.
