2018 Malsch Ölbaum trocken "Cuvée Grand Malheur", Baden, Germany

Predominantly black berry scent with smoky, dried planty and a little tarry aromas as well as a hint of sour cherries. Ripe, somewhat warm, slightly sweet dark fruit, toasty-smoky wood aromas, also a little dark-spicy, crumbly-sandy tannin, some persistence, some chocolate and coffee on the palate, a little compote-like hints, good to very good, again warm finish
