2019 Westhofen Brunnenhäuschen Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken "Abts E®", Rheinhessen, Germany

Very firm, deep and tremendously complex, tart, still rather closed bouquet with very fine yellow-fruity aromas, cool, noble herbal notes, a hint of broccoli and other very fine green-vegetable tones, delicate bacony hints, hints of olive oil, a little dried flowers and almost metallic minerality. Taut, cool and immensely juicy in the mouth, bright fruit, very fine, yet lively, present acidity, lots of grip from crumbly tannins and still clearly yeasty aromas, not least because of this also a little nutty, citrus zest, celery, lots of salt and plenty of bite, still restless at first, more balanced with lots of air, excellent depth, floral and herbal nuances, has power, warm and cool elements, very smooth, light minerality, currently absolutely unapproachable, becomes deeper with air, finer, more elegant and cooler, rather dark floral nuances in the background, long, taut, finish with polish and plenty of bite.
