2011 Nierstein Hipping Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Developed, slightly warm, a hint of nutty scent of ripe stone fruit with slightly waxy aromas, dried-vegetable to herbal and tobacco tones as well as a hint of black berries. Ripe, juicy, melting fruit, very fine acidity and grip of crumbly tannin, persistent and quite dense on the palate, again a little dark berries, moderate sweetness, certain creaminess, but also backbone, clear, tart minerality, good depth, has power, very good, juicy and grippy finish with nutty hints, dried-vegetable notes and again lots of minerality.
