2016 Dürkheim Fronhof Pinot Noir Réserve "Kleinod", Pfalz, Germany

A somewhat dried-plant-like to herbaceous and delicately smoky nose with red and black berries, floral nuances, a hint of blood, iodine, and suggested dark ethereal notes. Ripe, slightly developed, somewhat warm fruit, again smoky and nutty, also slightly tobacco-like wood, dried-plant and peppery nuances, a bit of bacon, floral hints, good sustainability, has power, a hint of root vegetables in the background, almost sweet melting, but also a slight wood bitterness, very good finish.
