2003 Wachau Ried Steinporz Riesling Smaragd® trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Light nutty notes on the nose, very ripe, partly dried yellow fruit, yellow spice, hint of caramel, some dried flowers and prominent mineral notes. Ripe, juicy and creamy fruit on the palate, nutty aromas, vegetal traces, some more yellow spice and a hint of caramel, very elegant acidity, persistent, full-bodied, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, mineral notes in the background, hint of sugar candy, good depth, firm backbone, some more caramel on a very good long finish. Appears timeless, and will remain in peak condition for some time to come.
