Slightly smoky and tobacco nose of mushrooms and black and red berries with cherry aromas, marzipan, some eucalyptus, moderate wood spice and a hint of pepper and tea. Taut, juicy, tart fruit with slightly cocoa-spicy, bitterish wood, some mushroom and nutty aromas, youthful, yet ripe and rather friable tannins, good substance and persistence, delicate ethereal spice in the background, almost a little sweet melting, plus some sour cherry, very good, tart and juicy and moderately chocolaty finish with a hint of smoky wood notes.
Quite firm, a touch toasty and smoky aroma of rose hips and other red, but also black berries with floral, somewhat dried herbal and very slightly floral aromas as well as a bit of rooibos tea. Ripe, rather tart, partly preserved fruit, smoky and slightly bitterish-roasty wood aromas, youthful, relatively crumbly tannin, peppery notes in the background, also almondy-nutty tones, lasting, certain depth, distinct minerality, still young and somewhat rough, very good, firm finish. Must mature.
