2018 Würzburg Silvaner VDP.Ortswein trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Fairly tart nose, light dried vegetal, nutty, earthy and mineral notes, restrained yellow fruit, dried floral traces, peppery traces. Fairly firm but also creamy, slightly sweetish fruit on the palate, nutty and yeasty notes, light vegetal and floral notes, very elegant acidity, ripe tannins provide grip, still very slightly astringent, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, hint of bacon, yeasty traces in the background, noticeable mineral notes, good to very good finish. Still needs some time to mature.
