2017 Volkach Karthäuser Weißburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Fairly tart nose, prominent nutty notes, hint of tobacco, yellow fruit aromas, light herbaceous notes, peppery and floral traces, hint of dark berries, mineral notes. Ripe, bone dry fruit on the palate, nutty notes, hint of tobacco, earthy and mineral notes, elegant acidity, integrated tannins, still very slightly astringent, good substance and persistence, full-bodied, some depth, slightly creamy, hint of tobacco again on a very good, tart, creamy, slightly spicy finish.
