2014 Würzburg Stein Silvaner Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm, polished and fine, clearly planty aroma with tart yellow fruity notes, hints of wax and mushrooms as well as mineral tones. Initially tart, with air increasingly juicy, very tightly knit fruit with vegetal aromas and present minerality, some acid bite, moderate tannin, persistent and powerful on the palate, some melting, good depth, nutty and mushroomy hints, very good, again quite firm, somewhat warm finish with ripe juice, vegetal notes, plenty of tart minerality, a touch of butter and lots of grip. On the second day even better than on the first.
