2014 Würzburg Stein Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Light vegetal and waxy notes on the nose, citrus and stone fruit, hint of honey, nutty, floral and earthy traces, more prominent mineral notes develop with aeration. Tart, slightly muted, restrained fruit on the palate, very creamy, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, light vegetal and earthy notes, more waxy traces, slightly bitter earthy notes, again shows more prominent mineral notes with aeration, light tannic touch, medicinal notes, hint of dark berries and flowers, slightly bitter finish, good to very good, becomes more juicy with aeration. After opening becomes increasingly cool and firm.
