2014 Volkach Karthäuser Weißburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Fairly firm nose, vegetal and prominent nutty notes, light earthy and tart mineral notes, yellow fruit. Clear, tart, elegant, juicy fruit on the palate, nutty and dried vegetal notes, prominent earthy and mineral notes, hint of tobacco in the background, elegant acidity, moderate tannins, persistent and gripping, reined-in power, smoked salt, floral traces, light nutty and more prominent salty mineral notes on a very good tart, juicy finish.
